Perhaps the layman would ask what it telnet, it sounds like the name of the cafe, Upsszz wrong ..!!! Telnet is a Windows-based program to your computer remotely with a text mode, the goal for the administrator when dealing with numerous computers in a LAN network. With the help telnet administrator then the job can be helped. Although more remote programs other administrators in graphic mode interface (GUI), but there is no harm if we learn more deeply.
Yupzz just discussed. As was explained earlier that telnet is text-based mode, open a Command Prompt or what we know Cmd.
hacking tutorials
Start>> Run>> and type cmd
And the Command Prompt window will appear with the characteristic black and white writing in it (yaelah times already on tau kk ..!!!: D). The next step type telnet followed by the IP address and port is the target as shown below.
Telnet 192.168.1.20 23
There have written "Could not open connection to the host, on port 23:" which means not successfully connected to the destination computer. So what steps again if the less?
1. Telnet service is not active, to activate it go to Control Panel>> Administrative Tools> Services, in an instant will open a window "service" and to enable "telnet service" you are just looking for telnet service by name and then double-click to open window "Telnet Properties ( local computer) ", notice it says" Startup type "select Automatic and" Service status "in an active state by clicking" Start "button. If everything is successful just click "OK"
2. port 23 is not already open on the destination computer, open our yuk ..!!! How open Control Panel> Security Center, if it appears the window "Windows Security Center" written notice "Manage security settings for:" then click "Windows Firewall", an explanation like the image below:
After the window pops up "Windows Firewall" and click the "Add Port" which requires you to fill in "Name" and "Port Number". Fill in "Name" with the word telnet or anything that you would remember it and the contents of "Port Number" which will be opened, here we will open port 23 then click "Ok", after all that is done then the name of the port we have created will be listed in the window "Windows Firewall" and that surely must be in active kedaan.
At a later stage we will do the experiment again with telnet by connecting the destination computer. yaps just type telnet 192.168.1.20 23 on CMD. So the result as shown below.
Select only "n" which means no (no). Finally we have succeeded and Telnet applications require us to login to the destination computer.
Purpose computer is required to have "User Account" to fill login and password as in the above output.
If telnet is successfully connected then it looks like the picture above. Next you'll be playing around with dos commands to copy, delete, run programs, etc.. Most computers will have problems, in terms of failed connections after login as just described, it looks like the picture below.
This is because the remote computer we will have more than one "User Accounts", in order to be connected properly then there are several more steps you have to do. open Control Panel>> Administrative Tools> Local Security Policy, after the Local Security Policy window displays the note in the Security Settings> Local Policies> Security Options, then look for the words "Network access: Sharing your security model for local accounts" double click or right click select properties and change the setting to "Classic only - local users authenticate as guest" then click "Ok" and then repeat the steps above and succeed.
